The Challenge

Despite growing awareness of mental health and the availability of online therapy platforms like BetterHelp, many in the Black community remain reluctant to address mental health issues.

Mistrust of therapy and systemic barriers, such as lack of access, affordability, and the scarcity of Black therapists, prevent many from seeking help.

These disparities are exacerbated in low-income communities, where therapy often feels out of reach both financially and culturally.

The Ask

.

.

. .

Develop an innovative idea that helps members of the Black community discuss mental health, either with each other or with a therapist. The solution should be creative, original, and effective in engaging the community to overcome the barriers to seeking mental health care.
